To mark the 150th anniversary of the world premiere of George Bizet’s famous operaCarmen, we are presenting our new “Carmen” castanet machine:

This is a tribute to the rhythmic soul of the spirited opera and was developed to offer musicians a sensitive, precise and expressive instrument.

Discover the timeless elegance of high-quality ebony and the multi-faceted dynamic spectrum of the two special plastic series. The models are available in three sizes: small, medium and large – so that you can create every nuance of sound in style and completeness.

The innovative tensioning mechanism ensures extremely precise sound control, fast repetition and dynamic expressiveness ranging from delicate pianissimo to powerful fortissimo. With the newly developed adjusting screw, you can adjust the opening of the castanet shells quickly, easily and even with one hand.

Our professional Spanish castanets are mounted on a fine maple wood base. The exclusive “free suspended” mount decouples the sound of the instrument from the stand and thus prevents unwanted vibrations and background noise. Alternatively, you can place the instrument directly on a shelf – a felt layer on the underside ensures an optimal acoustic experience.
