Nickel Cover, 2-Conductor, Potted, 9K, Alnico 5 Firebird Pickup

Firebird pickups have been a favorite with connoisseurs since their initial introduction in 1963. When humbucking, they should not be confused with other outwardly similar mini-humbucker models. Internally, Firebird pickups utilize two bar magnets around which the coils are wound. This gives them a distinctive tone that is somewhat similar in sound to single coils; clear and clean in the highs with the full, tight lows you expect from a humbucker. The Firebird Reissue Plus is hotter wound for a slightly thicker and fuller feel and waxed to eliminate microphone feedback.
